Stripe is one of the most popular payment gateways in the world.
Being able to use this platform in a dynamic way inside your chatbot can be very challenging and you will need a developer for it.
Luckily for you, we created a Manychat Stripe template that does all the hard work for you!
Why use Stripe?
Stripe is a very reliable payment gateway you can use to process online payments for your products and or your services.
You can use it on your website for your e-commerce store, connect your Stripe account to third-party platforms like Integromat or Zapier.
But another option would be to use it directly inside your chatbot. It will make for a smooth transaction from conversation to purchase all done inside of Messenger for example.
Isn’t there already a native integration?
Yes, but it is very limited at the moment. The stripe template allows you to use more features of Stripe without ever needing to log in.
Also, the Stripe template will ensure you can always update product information like pricing, product info, or even customer information which cannot be done with the native integration.
Stripe is great as it has very detailed API documentation, but at the same time, this can be very challenging to understand. Especially if you are not a developer.
And that is exactly why we created the Stripe template for you to connect to the most common API calls and get more dynamic options you can use directly inside your chatbot.
What does the Stripe template do?
It allows you to do the following:
- Create a customer
- Update customer details
- Fetch customer details
- Create a product
- Update a product details
- Fetch product details
- Fetch Product list
- Create a price
- Update a pricing details
- Fetch pricing details
- Retrieve pricing list
- Create a checkout session
- Create a redirection on succesful payment
- Create a redirection on cancelled payment
You can see the many options these API calls give you. but let us show a few examples to show the wide range of possibilities.
Create and or update customer data
When a customer gives information the first time you are able to create the customer directly inside of the chatbot and it will show up in your Stripe dashboard.
But this is about the extend of what the native integration will give you.
What if the customer requests to update its email or phone number? You would then need to go into Stripe manually and update it.
With the Stripe template, you will be able to do this on full autopilot. You can have a menu item that allows a customer to change its data and afterward you can update its credentials on full autopilot with a simple API call.
Consider how much time this could save you or your team alone 😮
Something you cannot do with a native integration is personalizing the products to your customer.
With the Stripe API template, you are able to do just that. You can use variables like “first name” or segmentation options like “agency product”, “freelancer product” just to name a few.
The more personalized you can make it the more likely it entices the customer to buy it since it is fully customized to their own liking.
With this Stripe API template, you will have unlimited possibilities in the ways to connect to your Stripe account and create very unique checkout systems directly inside your chatbot.
