1. Steps to Create a Widget -

  • A Default Widget is created as soon as the account is created. It can be customized as you wish. Besides the default Widget, you can also add other Widgets.
  • To work with the Widgets, go to Notifications > Widgets section. Click to edit the Default Widget or add a new one.
  • Once you click to edit the Default Widget or Add a New one, you can start setting up the Widget options.  Change the Widget Title
  • Choose the Type of the Widget: Link or Button.
  • If it's a button, then the Widget can appear upon that button click.
  • You can choose the Icon Color, Background Color, Button Position according to your wish.
  • If it's a link, it can be applied to any element on your website. The following CSS class can be applied to the element: SGBF-open-5f5647c67b5fb7305e56ae67
  • The example and the result we have can be observed directly on the Widget creation page.
  • Choose among the Categories: Bug Fix, Announcement, New Feature. You can also customize the Background Color and Border Color.
  • Set a Header and customize the Text and Background Colors.
  • Enable/Disable the Close Button. And in case it's enabled, you can upload an image for it and customize the position.
  • Enable/Disable Overlay for the Widget. If Overlay is enabled, you can choose the Color and Opacity for it.
  • Set an Animation. Both Opening and Closing Animations have 4 types: Slide Right, Slide Up, Slide Down, Fade.
  • Enable/Disable Page Scrolling.
  • Collect Email Subscribers.
  • Once you have the correct settings for the Widget, you can Save it, Copy the Embed Code.
  • Place the Embed Code inside your website. We used a WordPress based page
  • That's it. Your widget is good to go!

2. Steps to Create a Notification -

  • Go to the Notifications section (under the Notifications dropdown menu).
  • Click Create Notification. Once the Notification is created, you can edit it.
  • You can add a Title to the Notification.
  • Have the message of the Notification and edit the message as you wish.
  • Add a Category to your Notification (Bug Fix, New Feature, Announcement). We added the "Announcement" category in our example.
  • Enable/Disable the Custom Redirection(when clicked, the notification redirects to a custom page).
  • If this option isn't turned on, the Notification will redirect to a standalone page we created.
  • Enable/Disable the Scheduling. When enabled, choose the date the Notification should be shown.
  • Turn on/off the Feedback. You can also allow/disallow “Smile” or “Comment” usage.
  • Once you’ve chosen the settings for the Notification, you can go ahead and “Save” it. Afterward, “Enable” the Notification and it will appear inside the Widget.
  • That's it! Now you have the Notification that will be shown within the Widget on your website
