How is Passwork different from other password managers?

Passwork is designed to work together in a company. It allows you to securely store passwords in a structured manner, quickly find the required password, provide access to employees, and track all actions.

How can Passwork help me and my company?

All passwords of your company will be stored in a single secured vault that only you have access to. Your employees will not waste time looking for the right password, all data is always up to date. You will be able to securely provide access to passwords, analyze which passwords are weak, old, or compromised. For example, what passwords should be changed when an employee leaves. You will no longer have to send passwords via Skype or email.

I can store passwords in a google table, why is Passwork better?

Passwork is a solution created specifically for convenient and secure work with passwords in a company. For example, Google tables can be accidentally indexed, your passwords will be available to the entire Internet.

How is work done in Passwork?

You sign up and create your own workspace. Then you create vaults with passwords and invite your colleagues (with the required access level). It's very simple and easy, it's like a Dropbox, but for passwords.

What kind of company are you?

We are a Finnish company, the official business name of Passwork Oy

Where do you store your data?

The data is stored on our own servers in our data center near Helsinki. Only we have physical access to the servers. Access to data is regulated by Finnish legislation.

How is data encrypted?

We use several levels of encryptions. First, your passwords are encrypted in your browser using your master key. Then, already encrypted data is transmitted to our server (over a secure communication channel). On our server, the data is re-encrypted with server-side encryption and stored in the database.

Can you see my data?

No, our servers receive already encrypted data that cannot be decrypted without your master key. Your master key is never sent to the server.

How long have you been around?

The first version of Passwork was launched in 2014.

Can my data be lost in case of any problems?

No, we use complex backup plans and a distributed database. The data is stored on several servers at once.
