It can inprove the conversion rate and activity significantly, as subscribers can perform actions without having to leave the inbox.

Even the help doc about setting up SMTP is a bit confusing

The template helps to setup basic survey in minutes
UI is responsive.
Cons
Lacks "user" (not engineering) documentation. Still looks like a PoC version.
Template is far from modern UX. Too much effort is needed to formate a nice email.
Takes too much time to get AMP verified.
